FORUM: The role of arts in polarised and divided societies. World Art Day 2023. On April 15th, We will renew our commitment to support environments where artists and artistic freedom are promoted and protected. World Art Day celebrations help reinforce the links between artistic creations and society, encourage greater awareness of the diversity of artistic expressions and highlight the contribution of artists to sustainable development. It is also an occasion to shine a light on arts education in schools, as culture can pave the way for inclusive and equitable education. At the BRITISH COUNCIL: To mark #GFA25, we will host a a week-long international arts and culture programme. Running from 17-21 April, it will bring together 33 delegates from 10 countries, focusing on the role of arts in polarised and divided societies.
